I'd say that the "inspiration" for this vehicle was either the Seat, the Toyota Matrix, or the Concept from Toyota The FT-SX.

Since the Koreans usually copy the Japanese I would say it was probably the the Toyota, but who knows it just maybe a combo.

From the picture the concept look very sporty and has a lot of curve. But will the production model look half as good as this? what about the performance stat? Guess we have to wait to find out.

The Golf is the NUMBER ONE SELLING CAR IN EUROPE. According to BMW/Lexus/Toyota fans that makes it awesome. Well, it is awesome. Therefore every company in Europe (including Toyota) wants to wants to make a car that will outdo the VW Golf.

Also, the VW Golf has been many times in Europe with the BMW 1 series. And guess what, the Golf has won many times. It is a better car than the BMW 1 series.

The VW Golf/Rabbit has the new MazdaSpeed 3 to worry about...looks 10 times better inside and out, with more power than the VW.

To clarify: this is the Hyundai version of the Kia Cee'd (which replaces the Cerato--aka Spectra--in Europe); it could wind up replacing the Elantra in some markets.

No need to get scared that the VW Golf is better than the BMW 1 series. The MazdaSpeed3 Doesn't have a better interior. It does have more power, but will it actually put the power to the ground. The MazdaSpeed 6 has had horrible heat soak problems and the engine basically shut down above 4,000 RPM.

vw is far above hyundai. (as is audi obviously)
hyundai is below toyota, vw above toyota.
mazda have little presence here in europe. the 3 isn't liked.
the gti is has won many cars of the year awards.
so logical, you think vw is level with hyundai, toyota is above vw, and audi is level with what? hyundai too?

nobody cross shops a hyundai with anything european (and not much japanese either), hyundais don't compete with vws at all. even hyundai know that.
the golf is the benchmark for ALL small cars, they all try to out do it, but fail. nothing can compete with the golf supremacy. it is more comfortable, better designed and better handling then all its competitiors (focus, 307, megane etc). it has better interior design, better interior packaging, a better interior full stop than anything in the market. you may say "its more expensive", but according to you that is a good thing, it seems to be your case as to why bmws are better than audis.
and as for audi...seriously.....get a life. you seem to spend it bashing audi for no reason AT ALL, you say they're crap for no reason AT ALL, why? are you insecure? mentally disturbed? a psycho? has a wife killed by a possessed audi, so you must now take revenge on them all????
get it into your very thick head that vw is a cut above the rest, and audi is a major player in the luxury car market ( and the a8 and a6 are most certainly better than the 7 and 5 series). sure, you can bluster on about weight distribution, handling, FWD and the lack of RWD and some other crap, but at the end of the day, vws and and audis are excellent cars, and are widely regarded across europe (a place where good cars are made) as a cut above the rest of the competition.
vw group is a huge company, controlling huge amounts of money and using wide technological resources. vw turned around skoda's image in little under 20 years, and turned around seat's in 10. it revived bugatti, made the first production 1000hp car (which also did 250 mph), gave lambo their strongest sales EVER, push audi to the top, designed their interiors so well that they are constantly emulated by other companies, and yet you, some small minded buffoon, refuses to believe all of this, and chooses to live in his own small little world where vw and audi are imitation bmws, and where hyundai is level with both.
NEWSFLASH logical. not everybody wants a bmw or a car like a bmw. many people buy other cars simply because they are NOT bmws, and they aren't drawn into the terrible image they have. (tosser, poser, image driven etc, basically a yuppie)
