Epic miss. If it were priced at $45K to go head to head with the Mustang GT350's intended price point then it would sell, but at $60K there are just too many better machines for the money. The Challenger is only good for straight-line drag racing. It's not built on a good handling platform.

And how many GT350s does Ford sell? The Hellcat is priced right around what the Shelby and the ZL1 are with some premium for the most power. None of those are high volume sellers because none of the brands are looking for volume at that end of the pony car segment.

We seem to be besting the same dead horse post after post. The Hellcat is a miss with all but the drag crowd. It's was a poorly conceived car to begin with, adding a great engine can't fix a poor chassis and outdated design.

A friend of mine with connections has one as a guaranteed sale to him when allotment comes. It should be fun to blast around in.

The car's styling was never truly in the same class with the Mustang and Camaro - it is dated already - and really needed a better update. Limiting the run to 1200 cars is how they will actually sell them - as a limited run. Otherwise - I don't think they would be able to sell many more - if they can even sell that many

@TomM The price is just stupidly wrong.
