SPIED: Dealer Order Guide Reveals ALL About The 2015 Chevrolet SS — YOU WILL Like The Changes

Now for those that have forgotten, the 2014 Chevrolet SS really isn't an all-new model. It's simply a reboot of a car that General Motors already was gaining a lot of love for —the Pontiac G8.

Many writers and enthusiasts christened it as an all-new $40,000 BMW E39 M5. That's not bad company to be compared to! Having driven the G8 GXP I have to say it was a mighty impressive vehicle.

The problem with the reboot was simple though: GM didn't give us what it used to have. For example, it could not be had with a manual transmission and it was lacking the magnetic shocks that a lot of Chevrolet's most sporting models come with.

Well, the good news is that's changed for the 2015 model year. The car gods have spoken!

The SS is a hard sell. Because it looks like a Malibu costing half as much people gravitate to the Charger and 300. Getting a deal on an SS is easy. They gather dust on the lot.

It needed aggressive styling. It's simply not worth the price of admission under any circumstance.

Even with over 400 horsepower, I don't imagine we'll see many of these flying off dealer lots at a base of $45,000.

Why wouldn't a hardcore buyer want a Camaro or Corvette then opt for a dd?

For the money, the 300 SRT8 is a much better vehicle. A base CTS is a better choice than this Australian left over. I am not sure a manual transmission is of any value when it comes to increasing sales. These days the performance difference between a manual and an automatic is virtually zero. I don't want to row the gears in a sedan. I have the Mustang and a Sagaris for that.
