CompUSA Lexus Riley Win the Rolex Series for 2006

After being the bridesmaid in the 2004 and 2005 seasons. The CompUSA Lexus Riley Team, secured a hard earned victory at the Discount Tires Sunchaser Endurance race at Miller Motorsports Park. This win allowed the CompUSA Lexus Riley to capture the Manufacturer points lead in the final race of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series. Eventhough the CompUSA Lexus Riley Team only secured 4 victories throughout the season, several top three finishes gave them enough points to overtake second place Pontiac. Other teams in the series in order of final standings for the series were Pontiac, Ford, Porsche, and BMW.
The Lexus Daytona Prototype V8 powerplant is a 4.35-liter, race-modified version of the production engine utilized in the Lexus SC 430, GS 430 and LS 430. The 32-valve, DOHC, fuel-injected power-plant features an aluminum block and cylinder heads and produces 500 horsepower at 8,200 rpm.
