VIDEO: Mercedes-Benz Is Hyping The HELL Out Of The All-New AMG GT — Is It Catching YOUR Eye Or Are You Feeling 'Meh' About It?
In the automotive business it seems that there are two approaches to making the public aware of your latest and greatest model. Either the automaker does absolutely nothing and SURPRISE(!) it pops up at a major auto show, or you're presented with "the slow reveal."

Depending on the product and the methodology, the slow reveal can keep you at the edge of your seat, or it can be agonizing.

With the debut of the all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, it seems like the three-pointed star has been promoting the upcoming AMG vehicle like there's no tomorrow. Not only has its microsite been a hotbed of activity, the company's Instagram accounts have been flooded with AMG GT content.

In the latest installment, Mercedes dives into the engine in detail. After just driving the CLA 45 AMG, which sounds like a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, it's nice to hear a proper AMG V8 motor doing its thing.

For me though, if I am honest, it's starting to get a bit played out though. The car hasn't even been fully unveiled and the more content I see, the less intrigued I am. Is this happening to you?

Is the all-new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT getting or YOUR attention or is it DOA?

Leaders of development at AMG discuss the achievements, challenges and innovations during the creation of the powerplant of the Mercedes-AMG GT.

Very "meh" for me. Technically it will be excellent, but nothing about it says "gotta have" like the Jaguar F Type.

Completely agree.

I was very intrigued but the more and more I see of the AMG GT the less I care.

@Agent00R the truck face Mercedes feels compelled to use of every one of its vehicles kills it for me.

I cannot wait for this car to make its debut. The engine sounds amazing. And hoping Mercedes learned alot of lessons from the SLS. I expect that this car will drive that much better than the SLS. This car should have better exterior proportions than the SLS as well so the styling should be a huge improvement.

Great points, sir.

The SLS was a great GT but not so great on track — unless you sprung for the SLS AMG Black Series.

Seems like AMG is tuning this for a more sports car like feel and less touring.

Meh for me. Mercedes used to design some of the most beautiful cars in the world, like the E-class and SL when they had quad headlights. Today, MB looks like its adopted an Asian styling language, and they've lost their distinction, beauty, and stateliness. I don't covet anything made by MB today.
