SPIED + VIDEO: Next-Gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class SPOTTED Lapping The Green Hell
One of Mercedes-Benz's dominant sellers is the E-Class sedan. Although the current-generation vehicle took some lumps from the motoring press during its debut, I've always found it to be quite good.

But if you've been keeping track, it's clear that this vehicle is on the way out. All good things must come to an end, folks.

Recently spotted lapping the world famous Nürburgring was an all-new C-Class-bodied prototype. Looking like it was equipped with the all-new C63's sheetmetal and sporting some seriously flared fenders, it's clear something's going on here. BUT, if you were thinking it's a C63 AMG Black Series, think again.

Just listen to it make its way from corner to corner. Very quiet.

Although the vehicle's moving too quick for us to tell, we'd guess there's some serious issues with the vehicle's chassis and it conforming to this body. That's why our friends from TouriClips are saying its the new E-Class.

Take a look at the clip below and weigh in!

On the 24th of June 2014 we spied the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-class mule on the Nürburgring.

@Agent00R I don't recall what was said about the E. The only thing I disliked about it was the styling designed to look good with 24 inch rims. The E is a fairly reliable product that with the 5 Series are the benchmarks for what a premium sedan should be in my opinion over the models one level up.

The original Hyundai Genesis aimed at the E and learned from one of the best. The new Genesis significantly closes the gap from lesson learned from the current E.

If only Lincoln understood how to benchmark Mercedes.

A lot of press for the 2010 MY E-Class was negative. In fact, they gave it quite a ribbing. Folks complained about the motors and the new look.

Sold quite well though. :)

I'd I had to do German it would be an M5 but a Merc E AMG is fun...
I wish Mercedes would ditch the ghetto bling look and return to the simplicity of the 450SEL 6.9 days
If you're ever in Bako, I'll take you for a ride in a 6.9 and an AMG Hammer

So the exterior is pretty good, what turned me off was the interior. The W211 was sumptuous and looked elegant. The W212 sadly just looks too angular. They replaced the smooth flowing line with the hard angles that detracts from a BMW as well. If they could have found a middle ground I think they would have been on to something, but that and the $10K price difference is what pushed me towards the A5 (yes, I know it may not have been a perfect comparison, but Merc doesn't have a C-Class convertible yet)
