SPIED + VIDEO: NEW Footage Of The Mercedes-Benz MLC In Convoy

I remember when the BMW X6 made its debut. No one could really wrap their head's around it.

Plenty of detractors said it wouldn't be successful and that it'd be a silly endeavor. As the next-gen X6 is prepped to make its way to showrooms near you, we weren't surprised to see Mercedes show off a concept that essentially is an X6 with the three-pointed star's trimmings.

Although we like to joke that other cars "heart" each other's styling, this is actually a bit uncomfortable to look at it. That's because it reminds us of those Chinese car companies that appear at the Shanghai Motor Show with their blatant rip offs.

Anyhow...

All-new footage emerging from Europe shows the all-new MLC in a convoy of what we assume are engineers doing developmental testing. As of now the vehicle remains pretty buttoned up with camouflage covering it just about head to toe. Although there's been AMG variants captured, this one is a standard model — we're guessing a 350 or the like, given the wheels and exhaust.

The X6 hasn't been successful in sales. In profit yes because it's an ugly hatchback body put onto an X5 platform with a price increase, so its easy to amortize.
