SEEN And HEARD For The FIRST Time! The All-New Cadillac ATS-V Gets A SHAKEDOWN On The 'Ring, CHASES An M4 Down
Throughout the initial development of the Cadillac ATS, General Motors produced a tremendous amount of content supporting the launch of the then unreleased product. It wanted to prove that Caddy could build a car just as good as the BMW 3-Series. Of course, the 3-Series is the annual class favorite.

While critics were quick to praise the latest GM vehicle, we've noticed its sales have come down quite a bit. It's time to inject something a bit spicy into its line up to get some attention. That's where the ATS-V comes in.

Although we've seen the V product portfolio typically utilize V8 powerplants, it's pretty clear that the ATS will depart from that tradition. That's because we can make out the exhaust note of a six-cylinder. The latest word on the street is that it will benefit from not one, but two, turbochargers.

In this all-new clip straight from the world famous Nürburgring, the ATS-V is driven HARD. Check out how it catches some serious air! In addition, it looks very composed as it rockets from one corner to the next.

At one point during the clip, note how it is chasing — and keeping up — with a 2015 BMW M4 in Austin Yellow.

Watch the new Cadillac ATS-V Sedan undergoing tests at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In this video you can clearly hear the V6 3.6-liter Twin Turbo engine of the ATS-V which will probably produce around 425 bhp. The car was pushed really hard by the test drivers, it even completely lifted its 4 wheels several times at the section of the Nordschleife called ‘Flugplatz’. Enjoy!

Also, I like the way the Caddie was able to come back after the 2 lap lead the 4 had opened up. If you squint closely, you will see the shocked expression on the face of the 4 driver as the V then dispatched it with aplomb!

And on that last pass when the V blew past the M, you could hear the engine scream on the 4 right before it burst into flames!!

WOW!!

WOW. Never seen a Cadillac, even a V Series with that much composure. Even going airborne and landing without a twitch from the chassis. This and the CTS-V are going to be some stupid fun to drive cars with scalpel handling.

Most reviewers have given the ATS Chassis very high marks, even if they haven't like other aspects of this car. With a good foundation like this, the ATS-V should take this car to a whole new level.
