One Of The BIGGEST Questions Finally Is Answered: What LUXURY Vehicles Are Bringing NON-LUXURY Owners Into The Mix?

With plenty of luxury automakers starting to dip their toes into lower barriers of entry, we — and others — have started to notice that these entry-level luxury products are starting to cannibalize sales from more conservatively priced and traditional options.

Why get a spacious Hyundai Sonata when you can snap up an Audi A3 or Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class? That seems to be the thinking these days.

And while people thought we were full of complete sh.. it's nice to see some hard data support our claims.

What's interesting to note though is WHICH cars are gaining non-luxury owners' attention. Personally, I would have NEVER guessed that the Volvo C70 would be the auto with the most non-luxury buyers cutting checks.

The C70 was the stepping stone that I used before the A5. I absolutely loved that car and would have bought a new one if Volvo had updated it to an S60 style interior. What'd they do instead? Dropped the car :-\
