Toyota's Supra Will Be A Turbo 4 Cylinder Hybrid Due In Showrooms 2017
The BMW-Toyota partnership is now in full swing developing the next-generation Z4 and reborn Supra, respectively. What’s already known is that BMW is fully utilizing the knowledge of body construction it gained while developing the i3 and i8. Specifically, this involves the use of hybrid steel and aluminum platform design and carbon-reinforced plastic body panels. Toyota’s new sports car will benefit from this as well.

i love the design, even if it is a little cartoonish, but i have to agree i dont know how much can be done with a 4cyl, def looking forward to seeing what this thing is capable of..

You can get over 400 hp out of a 2.0l turbo alone. Add in electric motors and you could get another 100hp.

I bet Toyota will screw up this future Supra like they did the last one: make it too expensive for customers to buy in mass.
Toyota, learn from your pricing failure on the FR-S and the last Supra.
If you want this car to sell, it has to base in the low to mid $30,000 and it better have more hp than the last Supra Turbo at that price or a ridiculously curb weight, something in the range of the Alfa 4C.

the rear looks almost exactly like the lexus LF-LC concept....
