VIDEO: Jay Leno Drives The All-New Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, His Reaction Shouldn't Surprise YOU

There are cars and then there are monsters. The 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat, to me, is a monster. Equipped with a forced induction V8 capable of producing 707 horsepower, it's the most powerful domestic production vehicle — at least from what I can think of off the top of my head.

As I always preface, Jay Leno — whether you like him or not — is one of the leading commentators in the automotive space. It's not because he's an automotive expert or is an encyclopedia of auto know-how, but it's because he's the owner of a major collection that is essentially unrivaled.

Case in point: I have yet to see anyone else pick up a McLaren F1, McLaren P1 and also collect a fire truck.

This equates to one thing other guys — including me — don't have. Experience with such a variety of new, old and rare automobiles. So, when he weighs in on an all-new product it is important to give him some weight just because he's driven just about everything under the sun.

Watching the YouTube video shows that Dodge really did their homework here with massive HP and Torque combined with a lot of really smart modern-day features. I'm actually a bit surprised.
