SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's S-Class Coupe Chops The Top
In the past 12 months we've been pretty excited to have the chance to see some pretty cars. But, if you were to ask us which is the prettiest, well, we'd have some tough decisions to make.

Though, I can guarantee you it would be highly probable that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe would make the Top 5 list.

For what feels like eons there's been rumors of an S-Class Coupe convertible — formerly known as the CL-Class. The only problem is that we never saw any testers and we never saw anything come to fruition. It seemed like it would have been a great product to build;  however, it never got the green light. Sure, independent shops made a handful with varying degrees of success but there's nothing quite like an OEM car.

Well, that time is over.

Spotted months ago for the first time, the S-Class Coupe Convertible is a reality. And now, there's MORE shots of the all-new flagship drop top. We're pretty sure that Bentley is a bit concerned and although Rolls-Royce's Wraith will make a helluva product, we don't think it'll be able to hold a candle to the Mercedes from a technological perspective.

**Scope out MORE spy shots of the S-Class Convertible undergoing testing, below!

Okay, between the S-Class cab, and an upcoming C-Class cab, are they going to ditch the E-Class cab altogether? Or are they going to move the E-Class to compete with the 650i and The S-Class attempting to compete with the really high end drop tops?

The E class coupe/convertible is kind of in no man's land, I think the fact that Mercedes ended up creating the C class coupe and convertible was because the E class coupe/convertible didn't turn out to be a perfect CLK replacement.

The E Cabrio has been a huge success and it will move to the next E platform, i.e. upmarket to make room for the C Cabrio. S Cabrio will compete with the Bentley Conti convertible. The E will likely be a 6-Series competitor next time around, but not quite as expensive.
