GM Recalls 2013 Cadillac ATS and Buick Encore - Stop-Sale Order Issued On Dealer Inventory
General Motors is recalling 48,059 2013 Cadillac ATS sedans and 2013 Buick Encore crossovers in the U.S. to replace faulty outboard lapbelt pretensioners, the automaker said. A stop-sale order is in effect for unsold models at dealerships until the vehicles can be fixed.

The front outboard lapbelt pretensioner cables will retract upon deployment to tighten the seatbelts, but may not lock.

"As a result, there may be a potential of increased occupant movement in certain accidents," GM said in a statement.

GM said it is not aware of any crashes or injuries as a result of the problem.

I'd buy a GM product because given how intense the scrutiny of them is, they will make it right.
