CAR WARS! Two Unlikely Competitors Go Head-To-Head On Track — Ferrari 458 Speciale vs. Nissan GT-R

Now if a potential buyer of a Ferrari 458 Speciale came up to me and asked if he should also check out a Nissan GT-R, I'd be very frank with him when I would inevitably ask "What the hell is wrong with you?" This is because you're essentially talking about two spiritually different products?

But are they, really?

Both feature dual-clutch gearboxes, both have over 550 horsepower, both are examples of each respective companies' engineering feats. That's a bit of a philosophical debate I'd rather steer clear of at the moment. There's good reason for this: Evo Magazine put both monsters on track to compare lap times.
