t’s as if it came out of nowhere. The just revealed Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, four-door beast of a thing. It is, after all, the fastest and most powerful production sedan in the world. When paired to that fast-shifting eight-speed automatic, the Charger Hellcat blasts from 0-60 mph in a blazing 3.7 seconds. Top speed is 204 mph. Screw hippies. The //M models are more than primarily about straight line 0 - 60mph times..
Let's see their lap times around the Nurburgring...

Chrysler's iconic cars like the Viper, PT Cruiser, etc. didn't amounted to any significant volume once the minor "deficiencies" become known. Just a personal hunch but I think this Hellcat won't amount to much in terms of competition and volume.

700...1000hp...great, BUT soo blah to look at. Like Pontiac's GTR; great engine, interior, but also totally NOT eye candy. Don't see any exterior mod's making this visually stimulating and aggressive

if it holds together... i'll order one. haven't owned a sedan in years. 3.7 sounds dangerous but you only live once.

these cars will not likely be cross shopped much. Impressive numbers for that hellcat, but for the price, they need to lose alot of weight and really work on the handling and interior quality, as it will be in the starting price range of cars like the M5. You can't add more patties to a big mac and say its better than a prime rib sandwich simply because it has more meat. This car will fill the niche it was designed for, and has no competition. I like it!
