Since Dany Bahar’s failed attempt at bringing a collection of new Lotus cars to production, the British carmaker’s parent company Proton has been sold to DRB-Hicom, a Malaysian conglomerate, and a new CEO appointed. Industry veteran Jean-Marc Gales has yet to go public with his future plans for Lotus, but an anonymous source claims he recently revealed plans of a new SUV and sedan to Proton’s board of directors.
