Could Ford Be Working On A 10 Speed Automatic For The 2015 Mustang?
With seven and eight-speed automatics becoming the norm in various models offered by American automakers, it seems that Ford and General Motors are getting ready to up the ante in their transmission battle. According to Automotive News, GM and Ford are now cooperating to develop a 10-speed automatic gearbox, which will begin its integration in trucks and SUVs like the Lincoln Navigator and Ford F-150 and trickle its way down to various upcoming models, including the 2015 Mustang.

Do it as long as they drop lower gears lower and high gears well into the O.D. territory for best MPG.

10 speeds? Like they feel so guilty for sticking to the 3OD for so long they're trying to forget about it even faster. Let's hope they're as reliable.
