STUD OR DUD? 2015 Aston Martin Lagonda Caught Almost Fully Nude

Aston Martin has resurrected its Lagonda nameplate for a small production run of limited-edition super saloons.

The new Aston Martin Lagonda, which is set to arrive in 2015 and has recently been spotted undergoing testing in Oman, will be made available to customers on an invitation-only basis.

Styling cues come from the V8-engined Lagonda saloon, launched in 1976, which was designed by William Towns.

What decade is this car trying to be from?

It looks like it's picking up where the last car left off.

Late 80s, early 1990s.

Not too bad, even interesting from some angles, but how many buyers are there for the Porsche Panamera, Aston-Martin Rapide, Lagonda, BMW 6 Grande Coupe, Mercedes CLS etc...

The Lagonda was shown in production for TWO MONTHS ago.

@MattDarringer

The car's obviously not in production. It was a staged studio shot.

Of the production version of the car! Aston has asked dealers if they think there is a market for it beyond the middle east and the answer was a resounding YES.

Dealers want it so the idea of making more of them for non-M.E. customers is being entertained.

This is terrible. It looks like a Malibu with an Aston grille. Aston needs to step up its game in terms of styling.

I love it. Very cool, unlike anything else on the road.

Profile view looks fantastic. Angle views look awkward. Hope it looks good in person and has the same road presence as the Rapide.

In some ways, I feel like this is the direction (not exact design) Cadillac should be taking with their flagship sedan. But based on camo'd shots, the Caddie will be much more boxy and upright.
