SPIED: Chris Rock Gets Spotted In 00R's Neighborhood — Can YOU Guess What He Drives?

SPIED: Chris Rock Gets Spotted In 00R's Neighborhood — Can YOU Guess What He Drives?
I live in Bergen County, New Jersey. To me, there's only several other places I'd rather be: 1) Sausalito; 2) San Diego; 3) Malibu.

If I were to draw a five mile radius around my domicile you'd be able to pick out homes of today's most powerful C-level executives, Wall Street titans, athletes and entertainers. Out of the lengthy list of folks living in the area, one of them is noted comedian Chris Rock.

Like most folks on a weekend morning you wake up early and head out for some exercise or you hit your favorite coffee joint with a buddy to catch up. Today a dear friend visiting from California and I stopped in one of our favorite local roadside joints for a cup of coffee and to BS. This is when we bumped into Rock who was simply leafing through The New York Times and enjoying the cool morning sun.

Being that I am Curious Geroge, I had to see what he was driving. BEFORE I answer you though, I want to play a game: guess what set of wheels Rock was piloting.

See the three photos and pick from your choices below.

- Aston Martin Vanquish
- Audi Q7
- Audi A5
- Mercedes-Benz S-Class
- Porsche Macan

Matt, Bakersfield is not that much better. I used to visit my buddy in Bakersfield when I used to live in Monterey, the place is in the middle of nowhere. BTW my sister lives in Jersey City and its not that bad. Lots of money there.

Vanquish because it's not common, different than the rest like Rock. Seems he doesn't want a common ride. The others are all nice, but more mainstream than the Aston.

It's spelled/pronounced New Joysey.

Since when did you start reading? :p

I'm thinking the guy would aim for some privacy, a black all tinted A5 would be my guess.

I'm a West Coaster (born and raised) but I really don't understand why people are so quick to judge New Jersey. It's a beautiful state.

If I had read this before you posted the answer, I would have guessed the Audi Q7. It's the only one with the dark tint on the front windows.

It is! Glad someone "gets it."

In addition, good observation w/ the tints.

Dark black tint on front windows is illegal in NJ and would make you open to a ticket and not pass inspection when up. The Q7 comes standard with a lighter tint on the front windows that must be under the legal level. I was surprised how dark the front windows are on my Q7.

Same here in California, any tint is illegal on front windows, however, people tint them all the time anyway, especially celebs.

Mine have always been tinted and I've never had a ticket.

Tinted in NJ and while I've received a couple tickets, it is worth it.

According to friends who have had inspection w/ tints on , the state isn't checking for equipment violations anymore. Just emissions.

P.S. Which one of those is yours, 00R? The Macan?

S-Class was a press loaner I was driving.

Drove my VW Golf up there yesterday. Hadn't been turned over in a couple weeks.

Awesome! Try to get your hands on the S Class coupe soon, will you? If only I had enough $$ for a S63 Coupe!

Yeah, Newark is a proper mess. No doubt there.

However, if you spend some time in Mendham, Summit or Ridgewood, Alpine, Tenafly, Englewood, etc. you'll see the real NJ.

Very unfortunate, but New Jersey is not really the place that many Americans would respect nowadays, even more so as the state has the poorest city of all America.

Being originally from New York City myself, New Jersey is uh....ya...meh.

Typical New York elitist mentality.

It's especially funny when possessed by those living in the outer boroughs.

Don't hate. It's not that I hate New Jersey. It's just, I can't really think of anything good when I think of New Jersey.

I love how the Kia driving, Bakersfield living MattDarringer is the effing expert on all-things automotive. Give me a break.

Now weighing in on New Jersey. As if the armpit of California, Bakersfield, is a real delight. Unless you like the constant smell of cow manure in the air. Which kind of reminds me of most his posts.

I live in Santa Monica and followed a 996 Turbo Convertible (Seal Gray) on my way to a restaurant on Sunset. It was my dream car and I was tailing him in my M3 on Sunset starting back in Beverly Hills. Anyhow, long story short is that the car pulls in immediately ahead of me into the same restaurant and out of the car comes Chris Rock. His windows were very tinted so I didn't see that it was him until he got out of the car. Go figure it was him. Ironically the car had Jersey plates so now it all makes sense - probably about 8-10 years later!

For what it's worth, he's one of my favorite comedians. I have seen him live in Montreal, Atlantic City, and a couple of other places. Fantastic comedian and good taste in cars. For the record he drives quickly too!
