Z06, I wouldn't even consider the Camaro now. GM is crazy for pricing the Z28 at $75k and the Z06 only $3k higher. And keep in mind I'm not saying the Camaro is overpriced -- they underpriced the Z06. That car should be over $100k.

Though on a related note, does anybody know what the average driver's age is in each case?
I have the feeling that the relatively more conservative Camaro still attracts a younger crowd

Question is between a fully loaded Z51 LT3 or a Camaro Z/28...

You know, it depends on whether you plan on just tracking all day or if you want to drive on actual roads. The Camaro would be great for the former and rubbish for the latter.

Few people are interested in a 100% dedicated track machine so few people would opt for the Z/28. I mean it has carbon-ceramic brakes; only way you're getting those on the Vette lineup is if you go Z06 with the Z07 performance package and at that point you're looking at like $87k+.

I'd go with a fully optioned Vette myself, though I don't think the LT3 package is necessarily worth that much more over the LT2.
