Tony Stewart Talks About Keven Ward Tragedy Ahead Of Return To Racing
Despite the ongoing investigation into his role in Kevin Ward Jr.'s death, Tony Stewart will race this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway to begin the healing.

Stewart said ''this has been one of the toughest tragedies I've ever had to deal with, both professionally and personally. This will affect my life forever," in his first public remarks Friday as he returned to NASCAR for the first time since Ward Jr. was killed Aug. 9.

"This is a sadness and a pain I hope no one ever has to experience in their life," Stewart said.

Stewart should be forced to retire or banned, he ran a twenty something guy down after other drivers were able to avoid him, Stewart has a history of a temper and should retire out of respect for Ward's family.

He talks about how this will "effect his life forever", a mother and father had to bury their son.

A class act...not

Imbecilic. Other drivers didn't "avoid" the kid -- he didn't put himself directly in their paths. He DID put himself directly in the path of Stewart's car and that was plain to see, and dodged way too late. How is this shit even up for debate

Pretty sure many folks at the Funeral were saying "if he'd just stayed in his car".... Duh! His poor parents buried a clown who got out of a race car, on a race track, during a race, at night, in the dirt, and ran up to a speeding race car... did I say it was NIGHT... Their son needed to control his temper, it was his undoing...

Not a fan, but NASCAR needs TS. This was not even a racing incident. Ward running out on the track was just foolish on his part. Temper got the best of him.
