RENDERED SPECULATION: If Alfa Romeo Builds A Giulia And It Looks THIS Good, Would YOU Snap UP The Italian Stallion?

RENDERED SPECULATION: If Alfa Romeo Builds A Giulia And It Looks THIS Good, Would YOU Snap UP The Italian Stallion?
Who would have thought that all of you would have went BANANAS over some first spy shots of the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia? Seems to have struck a chord with many of you.

Could it be that a lot of in-market buyers are bored with their German luxury vehicles? If you ask me, it seems that the Italians have a golden opportunity here IF they execute well. As of now we've only gotten a first glance at a VERY early stage prototype that's in the mule phase — a sister car company's body is on top of the car's rolling chassis.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

FIRST Spy Shots of Alfa Romeo's All-New Giulia

Essentially, this means that Alfa Romeo has a blank canvas for creating a great looking exterior. And, wouldn't you know, someone has rendered what they think it will look like.

Frankly, if it looks REMOTELY like this, it's hard to think how the company could screw up having a successful product launch. Clearly these set of renderings use an amalgamation of current vehicles. I see a bit of BMW M4, a bit of Maserati Ghibli and a smattering of old-school Alfa cues.

What say you, Spies? IF Alfa were to build something like this, would you be in-market to BUY?

The Giulia needs to be drop-dead gorgeous, BUT it needs to be advantageously priced i.e. considerably BELOW the comparable BMW/Mercedes competition to buy sales. Jaguar priced the XF similarly to the BMW/Mercedes competition and it never really got traction in the market. The XF sells 1/10th the volume of the E Class.

Good looks, advantageous pricing for the Alfa Romeo Giulia and AVAILABILITY will make it a success. I'd get it into as many markets as possible. The plan to co-brand with Maserati is stupid because Maserati has so few dealers. In markets where there is no Maserati dealer, sell Alfa Romeo through Fiat dealers. Where there is no Fiat dealer, sell it through Chrysler.

Igniting Alfa Romeo sales should be relatively easy, but Marchionne has a way of botching things.

This rendering is beyond gorgeous, not sure I could trust the Fiat company or Alfa for reliability or safety, must do some research on those aspects...

The Giulia is a derivative of the Ghibli which is essentially a Chrysler 300 platform with a new front suspension design. Thus the "platform" is well-proven.

Marchionne VERY wisely decided to leverage the 300 platform specifically for the reliability aspect.

My father-in-law's Ghibli is as reliable as his wife's 300 Varvatos edition and much more so than the Qporte he had before it. He's VERY Italian and is chomping at the bit to see the new Alfas.

Sorry Matt, but I will rely on better sources for my research than your father in law. Besides, I don't care about "platform"/chassis reliability, more like the motor, trans, electronics, trim, etc...

This is a beautiful vehicle. I know why the Italians make such gorgeous cars. Keep it as presented on the initial photos.

It's gorgeous in both forms. However, the FRS/BRZ taillights on the sedan aren't doing it for me.

Well we know it won't look quite this amazing, but styling has never been the brand's problem. The current lineup is just so paired down to basics. And its US debut has been the furniture store free financing deal until 2018 kind of thing.
