Toyota Releases OFFICIAL Pricing And DETAILS Its All-New TRD Pro Series Tundra — Will This HELP Sales At All?
Among the pick-up truck elite the Toyota Tundra is scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's just not desired among the few who do decide to add one to their fleet.

So, when I hear that Toyota is releasing a TRD Pro Series Tundra, I have to sit back and say "So, what?"

Where is the company's gamechanging pick-up that is going to take a bite out of Ford, General Motors' or RAM's market share? Is A Ford SVT Raptor rival really what the company needs? It seems sort of silly at the end of the day.

As I've previously noted, I am not an expert on the pick-up scene, so, perhaps I am missing something here. BUT, I am a bit curious — will the TRD Pro Series Tundra help sales at all?

Toyota's press release follow:

At least I do not go out there, telling people how foolish I am for buying a Lexus LS and how I strongly expect people to humiliate me for buying the car like you do.

I mean, you enjoy having this inferiority complex by owning a car that you believe is utterly inferior to German counterparts, so I really don't know what to say to you.

Well you can say "Toyota/Lexus = For the real men" LoL!, just too funny, talk about inferiority complex.

Well, it sure is funny. Considering the fact that "you" are the one that owns a "Lexus LS".

Sucks to be you.

But to make it less funnier, I guess I should say,

Toyota/Lexus = For sissy men with strong inferiority complex.

Are you happy now? I fixed it for you.

This is great truck but it will never surpass or catch the sales numbers of the F-150 just like no American mid size car will ever sell the volumes of the CAMRY.

Do you have any idea what a "TRD" is? Because if you wanted to sell more, then the first thing you'd think of would be to sell cheaper models. TRD's objective is not to sell tons more, but to appeal to the ones who love sporty trucks.

Yes I know what TURD (TRD) means, something for 'rednecks" I would imagine since I don't care about trucks and I will never buy one either.

Well, it is turd, alright, just like how your Lexus LS is a over-glorified Toyota TURD as you may call it. TRD is not only involved in trucks, I guess you didn't know this.

Nice treatment. Wonder what the new springs and decreased rate will do to the towing/payload capacity? Sticking that big nose higher in the air can't be great for what is already the worst MPGs in its class. If they would update the engine, tranny, and rear gearing in this truck, it would sell.

The Tundra TuRD will remain an also-ran in the pickup wars. It simply is not a good product. It cannot do the hauling of a Ram diesel. It's not technologically forward as the F150. This generation of the Tundra got trashed initially with all kinds of quality/reliability issues.

Outside of the seat heater issue, what were the other problems? Everyone knows it is horrible mpg wise. Everyone knows it's a overdone refresh instead of a completely new model. Gulf states Toyota had some special edition model issues with lug nuts but outside of that, I haven't seen anything dogging it. It's just bad mpg and lacking in content/features.

How can anyone compete with Americans in the truck department?

Trucks are the only things they do right and Toyota has no game against them in truck world.

Regular car sales, that's a different story. Detroit can never come up with a normal family sedan to compete with Japanese
