Autobild Magazine has published a compilation of 100 cars complete with 0-100 kph (62 mph) rankings for each category. Rarely is this done in such a complete manner. Thanks to the BenzInsider for uncovering this goldmine of information.

to american and Japaneese car companies (cars that major makets are America) fast is 0-60

to most german companies fast is how it feels at 100 or 120 Fast is how it moves from 20- 40 or 40-70

Fast is torque

This whole comparison was conducted terribly. Poorly organized with flawed test results.

Examples of incorrect test data would be:
They have the old BMW M Coupe ranked faster than the new one, aswell as the standard M3 ranked faster than the CSL M3.

They have the outgoing Audi RS6 model marked slower than the outgoing BMW M5 model, and an Aston Martin V8 Vantage is marked slower than the Audi S4.

BMW 645ci is marked slower than a Mercedes SL 500, and in their test the SL 500 clocked 0-100km in 5.3 seconds, when it can barely do 0-60MPH in 6 seconds. 645ci on the other hand does 0-60MPH in 5.2 sec.

The list goes on...

Guys you are forgetting it is 0-60 then BACK to 0. Braking times are a portion of this.

What exactly was your point ??
Every Car Available to them was Tested and the times Listed, what has the fact that there are multiple cars with the same Engine got to do with anything ?

Did you Expect the S600 and the SL600 to post the same 0-62-0 times ??

Also how do these affect the standings of the american Models' Performance figures ??

I really would like you to explain your thought process

huu76- I don't know why all the different variations, but a wagon vs a sedan would be different stopping times as well as 0-62 times.

Everyone should check the last column... the model year tested. That explains some differences, but doesn't take into account weather, temps, etc.
