Dodge Dart To Receive SRT Variant And 9 Speed Transmission
A certain slide presented earlier this year during the Chrysler Investor Day hinted that the Dodge Dart will get a mid-cycle refresh in June 2016. We also know that an SRT will follow in December, boasting with a high revving turbo'd four-cylinder mill and AWD.

The only other detail officially revealed by Dodge regarding the facelited Dart is that the little sedan will boast with improved "driving dynamics" and a couple of new engine options. But according to a new report coming from AutomotiveNews, Dodge will add the heavily anticipated nine-speed automatic to the Dart as well, with the addition of other bits and bobs to lower emissions and improve mileage

The Neon SRT was quite the performance icon, the Caliber not so much. Based on the Dart looking almost like an updated Neon it's quite possible.

I think it needs to at least be on part with the Civic-R performance wise if it wants to be taken seriously. It has the looks, lets see if SRT can make it a good drivers car.

The Dart desperately needs some serious performance parts. It's a good car executed POORLY. It has the potential to be quite delightful.
