2017 MINI Countryman Caught In The Wild For The First Time

Fast forward to 2014 and things are a bit different. The market is taking a liking in the biggest car the British brand ever made and good sales prompted BMW to start working on a new model that will be launched somewhere in 2017.

I am excited to get to sell these, as the updates MINI is doing should make this strong selling model for us even stronger selling.

Problem with throwback cars (VW Beetle and Mini ) is that
there is only so much one can do with an old macro design. New iterations may have new tech etc, but ultimately the manufacturer is "boxed in".
This is perhaps why Porsche is working on a all new platform for the 911 design. Hiding that tailheavy engine, using clever electronics and wheelbase mods has reached its limit.

It's always hard for sure by the time the third generation rolls around you are usually out of ideas of what to do. This looks less CUVish than the current model but that could be just the swirleys working.
