VIDEOS Galore! SEE And HEAR The 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT In ACTION!
As noted in my previous thread, today we saw the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT. It's a big launch that may usher in a new era of sports cars for the three-pointed star. That's because while the SLS AMG had "the look" it wasn't exactly a fun driver.

It was a bit laborious and a bit too Dodge Viper-like.

Now, from what we're being told, the AMG GT will provide a lighter and more nimble experience that will trump what Mercedes has brought before us previously.

That said, if you've been waiting to see and hear MORE of the all-new Benz, this is the time. Some all-new clips were posted today shortly after the vehicle's launch. Below you'll find them.

Let us know what you think of the car's look and its V8 sound.

Presenting the all-new 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S. With an all-new 4.0-liter 503-hp biturbo V-8, the Mercedes-AMG GT S has everything you’d expect from a Mercedes-AMG sports car: dynamic styling, thoroughbred motorsport technology, and optimal weight distribution—not to mention a 3.7 second 0-60 time and a top speed of 193 mph.

Back in the days when Mercedes introduced their SLR, I thought it looked pretty amazing.

And then years later, they introduced SLS, which is pretty much a copycat of Dodge Viper. I laughed real hard since the car looked so damn ugly, it was like, Mercedes desperately tried to put that Mercedes design on Dodge Viper and miserably failed. But the Europe worshippers still loved this car. Wow. The most laughable part is that, Lexus LFA at least proved SO MANY things about Toyota engineering, and how amazing they are in general. Jeremy Clarkson liked it a lot, and in fact, Lexus LFA was indeed an amazing supercar. But what did SLS really achieve? Oh ya, nothing.

And now we have this, AMG GT or whatever it's called. This is just hilarious to say the least. This is nothing more than a over-glorified Mercedes SLK, which is a car that no one even cares about (And wishes it was as successful as Mazda Miata, but it can't be)

The only manly looking supercars that I can see (And also perform like one) nowadays are,

Nissan GT-R, Acura NSX, Lexus RC-F & LFA, Dodge Viper and Corvette C7.

I mean even the new BMW M3/4 looks so damn boring. But the Europe worshippers still defend this thing because they are Europe worshippers all the way down to their bones.

It's clearly not an SLK.

Completely stupid comment.

And btw, that AMG GT on that last photo makes it look like a toy car or something.

And that puke yellow color on this car is just so bad, I can't stop laughing.

Well keep laughing bud right with Mercedes to the bank, because they have definitely scored with this GT.

That interior outclasses just about everything in it's segment and I'm 110% positive this thing turns plenty heads on the road between the seductive exhaust note and sleek design

If you hide the front 50% of the car... the rear 50% has a very Porsche characteristic to it...sort of like a 928 meets 911, or what the 928 would have looked like in 2014.

Agreed yet you also see a resemblance to the back of the new S-Class coupe

This is not going to be a huge seller in a segment that already has Maserati, Aston Martin, Porsche, etc. Just not much special about this car. Too bad. The design is really half-baked. Maybe the next version, if there is one, will be better.

Please tell me you're kidding. Let's see how it stacks up against the competition before we go proclaiming that there's "not much special about this car". And let's wait to see how the design looks in person. Ridiculous statement, to be honest.

And, btw, I have no doubt it'll outperform its Aston Martin competition and, technically, there is no Maserati competition.

Maserati= Fiat reliability there is no one Maserati that you can compare to any Mercedes in quality and reliability. There only one thing that I really love of Maserati...the sound of the Ferrari engine on the New Quatroporte GTS....Outstanding.
