You just can't help yourself can you Gnut... your post an article exlusively about BMW and still mention Audi in the title...

... you do realise some people don't give a toss about Audi? And they don't need every article to relate in some way to Audi? Right?

Unfortunately Germannut fails to realize the bigger picture...Mercedes positioning themselves to leapfrog it's rivals within the next 2-3 yrs if that....and taking the sales crown back they held for DECADES...

Car4Life fails to realize that Audi continues to stay right on BMW's heels even with an outdated lineup that has not even implemented Audi's new design strategy. The current A4, A5, A6 and A8 model ranges are all old both in terms of age and styling. The only new volume driver in the entire Audi lineup is the A3 family (including Q3).

Once Audi's new A4 and Q7 are introduced next year along with the flagship A9 coupe-like sedan and new aggressive and differentiated body-styling, Mercedes-Benz's large percentage growth rates won't look so big after all.

Hey bud, you brought it on yourself...learn to post a story without falling victim to your own bias...just stating the facts, your savior...the A3...is being put in it's place by the CLA as predicted, the Q7, according to recent pics/reports will be more if an evolution then revolution so sales won't see an incredie bump, the A4 three off a production cycle and now has new intense competition chipping away it's already minimal market share and the A6/A8 are taking consistent beatings especially here in the states.

When Mercedes officially launches the C and GLA in the states...Audi's best bet is to move up the A4 launch as quick as possible...

The A3 Sedan is hardly being "put in its place" The CLA is outselling it, but not by a huge margin. The Q7 is going to be a total re-design that looks very different than the current model. The current Q7 is still experiencing growth despite its old age and bulky looks.

Just look at the new Audi TT if you want an idea of how Audi will raise the bar for interiors. The exterior is not a good indicator though of what to expect from Audi. The TT was purposely made more conservative than Audi initially wanted it to be.

I remember hearing that the A3 will be different and look a the shrunk A4 we got instead.

And yes, the CLA (like it or not) is all over the place. The A3 not so much. As a mater of fact, it's almost nice to see one from time to time, just like the A8

If only the U.S. was representative of Audi's sales globally - BMW fans would be rejoicing. Go to China or Europe, Audi is a dominant in both of those huge markets.

The A3 was never supposed to look much different than the A4. That will be the next Q7 and A4 models that usher in Audi's new design philosophy.

I spoke with a German the other day and told me that the Audi and Mercedes are favorites in Germany and BMW is behind both and he told me that most of Germans think that the BMW is not reliable. Not sure if he is biased (cause is German) or is projecting a real situation, but he insist that Germans do not trust in the BMW Reliability...

Where are LEXUS sales? Oh I forgot, they don't compete worldwide.
