Watch Tanner Foust Rip Up the Tarmac In His New 540 HP GRC VW Beetle
Back in June, we told you about the upcoming VW GRC Beetle rally car and its absolutely insane 1.6-liter engine that produces a staggering 540 horsepower. Making the sprint from 0-60 mph in under two seconds, this is no regular Beetle, and requires a driver that can really tear it apart. Like Tanner Foust, perhaps. In a series of manic moves, Foust prepares for the GRC's racing debut at the Red Bull GRC event that kicks off next weekend in California.

Crazy! When I was a kid I once saw on old beetle with a dragster engine up front with a blower snugged up against the front window and the driver sitting almost where the back seat would be. It was at Palo Duro canyon near Amarillo. I am guessing he drag raced in that area, this was back in the mid 70s.
