Could A TTQ Crossover Be A Reality? Audi Confirms 3rd Body Style For Next Gen TT

The German based automaker Audi has confirmed the development of a third body style of the new TT generation, which should be introduced probably next year.

After officially pulling the wraps off the new generation of the Audi TT Coupe, just a few months ago, the car manufacturer will soon introduce the Roadster at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, in early next month, but the development of the TT range will not stop here as the company is planning to introduce a third body style based on the same model. The vehicle in question is quite “blurry” for the moment but reports are indicating that it will be a stylish crossover.

I'd consider that....

Audi needs to do better. Saw a Q3 on the road this weekend and it looks like a raised Fiat 500. The Lexus NX and Mercedes GLA should kill it just on looks alone. The new TT leaves me a bit cold and this rendering for this crossover isn't much better.

I agree with you on this one. I just hope this is not the new, more aggressive design language that is Audi's that is suppose to drive Audi's future direction.

The Q3 looks nothing like a 500. I could see if you said a bigger A3 hatch but it's not bubbly at all.

That's YOUR impression. MY impression is that of a Fiat 500 on stilts.

Is this is Audi's new design direction?

This is nothing but more of the same plus a new Hyundai Genesis grill

All these people who think this is Audi's new design direction are incorrect. The new 2015 Audi TT is itself a more conservative design than Audi initially wanted to use. However, Audi will not be making its upcoming Q7, A4, A9 Q4 etc. models nearly as conservative as the TT.

The Audi Q3 will sell like hotcakes. It's a smaller version of the already hugely successful Audi Q5. While the Mercedes-Benz GLA is bolder, many people may not like that "in your face" look.

That's what you said about the CLA, Nuttie.
