Hitachi and Mitsubishi Become 27th and 28th Parts Suppliers Guilty Of Price Fixing
According to the US Department of Justice a federal grand jury in Detroit moved to indict seven executives at two Japanese auto parts makers because they were found guilty of price-fixing.

The Department of Justice statement says the indictments relate to a conspiracy to engage into monopolistic practices that took place from as early as January 2000 to about February 2010.

Healthcare in the US is a conundrum. There isn't really a good answer for solving it. The simplest solution boils down to sourcing and competition. Think Walmart style, managed sourcing: if you're the lowest provider and you dick with us, you're fk'd. It's a wickedly efficient system.

Ultimately it boils down to ethics. It's far easier to collude on price fixing in the guise of ethical behavior, and proclaim triumph with bulging profits and revenues than it is to take smaller profits while committing to innovation.
