Infiniti Sets Goal To Leave Behind The Japanese And Move To The Premium Club With The Germans
Infiniti is set to hugely expand its model line-up in a bid to properly match BMW and Audi, according to the brand’s European boss, Francois Goupil de Bouille.

The company is planning to rapidly increase the number and quality of its products in order to finally succeed in Europe where it has so far failed to gain real traction.

Speaking at the opening of Infiniti’s new London design studio de Bouille told Autocar: "We want to be a member of the premium club and in five to eight years we want to be a major act in this business."

Premium division of Hyundai? That's something only the Americans can manage to make. Take a look at Cadillac, Lincoln and Buick for the "premium division" of Hyundai.

And I'm sorry, Infiniti's designing always has been pretty good, as I drove many of Infiniti models in the past. And you don't know what you are missing.

Infiniti's styling has always been forgettable to ugly (currently). It sounds like Infiniti traded one clueless nut job for for another to lead it.

Then you have 5-8 years to completely redesign all of your products, because not one of them is not ugly. The only brand that manages to out-ugly Infiniti is Nissan.

the problem with infiniti design i think is that it has become too predictable. they look nice in the concepts, then bring us the q50 instead of the essence..
