Hyundai Out Foxes The Hellcat With 708HP Sonata Bound For SEMA
Hyundai has always been keen on being the talk of the town every time the doors of the SEMA Show open. Whether it's a zombie apocalypse survival machine, a superhero-livered SUV or a killer engine swap, they seem to always have what it takes to wow the crowds and are genuinely interested in their input. For 2014, one of their star projects is based on the all-new Sonata sedan and packs an all-mighty punch.

Stuffed under the bonnet of your average mid-size family car is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that's been tuned by Bisimoto Engineering to run in a flex-fuel setup and produce 708 horsepower. Why exactly 708? Hyundai won't say, but if this were a production car, it would take the title of "World's Most Powerful Sedan" away from the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, which produces a measly 707 horsepower.

Aside from the wing that's really tame for SEMA. But that power output certainly isn't nor is it roadable.

HP isn't everything; I know I'd never consider buying a Hellcat.

As with Asian car companies, they just look at numbers like we're all human caluclators. Guarantee nobody will choose a Hyundai over a Hellcat even if the Hyundai is free. That plastic wing probably is responsible for atleast 200hp.
