BMW F80 M3 vs Mercedes-Benz AMG C 63: How Do They Stack Up?
Coming out with a new name, new engine and even a body style, the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 takes over where the old Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG left off, taking an evolutionary step towards a more sustainable future. Apart from all those, this is also the true rival the F80 M3 was waiting for and we’re going to take a closer look at the two to see how they stack up against each other.

From the outside, the C-Class will win a comparison with the current 3 Series, hands down. That’s for the standard sedan, though. When it comes to the hardcore AMG and M models though, things are a bit different. Sure, it’s a matter of taste but the M3 seems to be making up for the failure of the 3 Series in this department.

The M3 has more SHOW than GO and the C 63 has more GO than SHOW yet wins hands down on the interior.

I'd take the C 63 for sure. The M3 would be great if I was still in college.

Easy, M3 for boys, C63 for Old mans and experienced drivers (too much power in the hands of a boy).

Two extremely competent sports sedans. Not sure how the C63 could lose here, though. More power. Better exterior, tastefully done. Not contest with the interiors as the C63 is just worlds better than anything in the class. I would imagine the chassis is amazing based on the C63 507. Only 176 lbs heavier. The only place I can see the C63 being letdown is its transmission. So, here's my check ;-)

I think the M3 sedan looks more dynamic. I disagree as the C63 looks more civilized, yet when I want to buy an actual Performance sedan I want something that looks the part of being aggressive and more dynamic.

If you look at the pictures from the rear, the M3 track looks a good 2" wider. Prefer the beefy back end look. The C63 does look good from the side as the style is definitely sharp looking. Yet the front is not that much distinctive than a C400. It really doesnt look much different.

As far as design goes, BMW takes the crown, mean-ass looking German beast,

As far as quality and longevity goes BMW never had the desire to invade that territory.

So if you want to drive this thing all the way to 200000 miles, then get the Benz, good resale value should not be a problem either.

and the most important.... Performance, they both are are way up there where only they know where it is and American or Japanese car makers have no idea what ad where it is.
