Porsche 911, Mercedes SLS AMG S, Or Jaguar F-Type R - Which Would You Choose?

You knew this comparison was coming.

Jaguar and Mercedes have had enough of watching the Porsche 911 dominate the high-performance sports car market. It’s just gone on for far too long. And it must end. Perhaps it will, perhaps not. But whatever the sales numbers and prestige factor ultimately turn out to be, there’s a new player in town and it’s called the Mercedes-AMG GT S. The successor to the beloved SLS AMG is powered by a twin-turbo V8 that spits out 503 horsepower

The F-Type R competes, performance-wise, with the lower end of the 911 and the Mercedes as far as I can tell. Still the least expensive of the three, though.

In terms of looks I would take the F-Type R over the 911 and Merc any day.

In terms of reliability, not sure. The Jag is almost certainly the worst and the Porsche the best but it might be close enough.

Would get the Jag and remodel my kitchen.

911 anything worth having is worth paying for. Give me a 911 Turbo S convertible and stay out of my way.

Either one would be very satisfying but if I had to pick it would be the Mercedes SLS only because its not as common as Porsches and better built than Jags.

As much as I despise the Porsche Super Beetle, I'd take the 911. The Mercedes looks like a truck. The Jaguar is a stunningly unrefined ride once off the track. The 911 is a beast at the track and can better the F-Type, but somehow in the real world the 911 accepts rough road with grace whereas the F-Type pounds all over the place.

So to recap: 911 handles better at the track and is much nicer to live with than an F Type.

Mercedes = truck.

Ok, so what you're saying is you wouldn't get the 911 either. So what sports/GT car would you - or better yet do you - drive?

1-Mercedes , I really like the sting ray face , the interior is magnificent , the engine is a masterpiece .
2-Porsche , beautiful car.
3-Jaguar .

I just thought I would point out that the Mercedes is not an SLS but instead the upcoming AMG GT. Even though I sell Benzes if given a choice between all three I would take the 911 Turbo S.

I would take the 911 Turbo S if budget wasn't limited. Otherwise, the AMG-GT. I do love the Jaguar's styling, but it's an oversteering beast with an uninspired interior.
