Too Agressive? Infiniti's New Q80 Is An Indicator Of New Styling Strategy For Brand

The large four-door fastback concept that Infiniti will unveil at the Paris auto show this week signals the styling for a stream of new products planned over the next four years.

Infiniti last week released an image of the Q80 Inspiration, which it says will be the basis for the brand's largest car.

Its 122.2-inch wheelbase is about 2 inches longer than the extended-wheelbase version of its current flagship Q70 sedan.

The Inspiration is about 7 inches wider than the Q70, but with a roofline that is about 6 inches lower.

I don't don't think it's "too" anything. It's just not attractive, as is the norm for Infiniti. It seems to be a pattern for them.

'Aggressive' is not an adjective that comes to mind with this design language. It actually makes me think of the latter 60s design of the Dodge Charger, and early 70s design of the Buick Riviera, with that bulbous back hatch.
