HERE WE GO AGAIN: NHTSA Opening Investigation Over Unintended Acceleration In Older Corollas

The unintended acceleration plague that hit Toyota recently appears to haven’t healed yet, as a US safety agency in evaluating a car owner’s allegation that older Corolla models can unexpectedly put the pedal to the metal at low speeds and cause a crash.

 According to a Detroit Free Press report, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is inquiring over 1.69 million Corolla models made between 2005 and 2009 to determine whether a formal investigation is needed.

CSIs (Crime Scene Investigators) found no defect or design flaw.

NASA was invited to help, and they found no defect or design flaw.

Multiple government inquisitions keep trying, but they, too, found no defect or design flaw.

Various lawyers, with starry eyes and dreams of making a pile of money through lawsuits found no defect or design flaw.

I guess the NHTSA didn't get the memo.

anyone who says a corolla can overpower it's brakes is losing their mind. Car and driver tried it with a Camry v6 and couldn't get the car to go out of control with the throttle pinned. How is a car that makes 130 hp gonna get out of control? Maybe pedal missapplication?
