Audi Racks Up Incredible 45th Increase In A Row: Sales Up 14.2% In September
Audi reported that its September 2014 sales increased 14.2% to 14,917 vehicles, a total that stands as the 45th consecutive month of record monthly U.S. sales for the brand. Audi U.S. sales year-to-date have increased 14.5% to 130,983 vehicles.

Audi has maintained a solid and consistent record sales pace throughout 2014, with the best-ever September results following the best-ever sales month in AoA sales history in August. The previous September record was set in 2013 with sales of 13,065 vehicles.

Through the first nine months of 2014, the Audi brand sold nearly as many vehicles in the U.S. as it did over a full year in 2012, which was 139,310 units. Year-to-date 2014 Audi U.S. sales have increased to 130,983 vehicles, a 14.5% gain from the same period in 2013.

“Building on the popularity and robust sales performance of the Q5 and Q7, the successful launch of the new Q3 crossover offers Audi customers another great option to meet their needs,” said Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Audi of America. “The demand for this new product – as well as the entire A-segment family – indicates that the market will continue to support our strong sales momentum.”

Sales at the top end of the Audi lineup remained steady with the most exclusive C- and D- segment models continuing to represent nearly one-third of overall Audi sales.
September represented steady demand for the Audi Q5 and Q7 SUVs. For the January-September period, Q5 sales rose 5.3%, while YTD sales for the Audi Q7 increased 21.7%. The September debut of the all-new Audi Q3 yielded 1,092 sales.

After its April U.S. sales debut, the 2015 Audi A3 family has maintained a strong and consistent sales pace. September 2014 brought 2,340 A3 sales to solidify the standing of these compact premium models among the top three of the brand’s best sellers.

September is the 14th consecutive month of record sales for Audi Certified pre-owned. This month marked an increase of 29.6% and a total of 3,866 CPO vehicles sold; CPO sales year-to-date increased 18.8%.

Highlights:
- The 2015 Audi A3 models, including new sedan and Cabriolet variants, have generated sales of 14,669 units since the first of the family line models reached the U.S. in the spring.
- Sales of Audi premium category vehicles (Audi A6, Audi A7, Audi A8, and Audi Q7) increased 9% year-to-date, representing 31.1% of total Audi sales year-to-date and 21% of the Audi year-to-date sales gain.
- Sales mix for Audi S performance variants finished the month at 12.2% for the S4 sedan; 30.9% for the S5/ RS 5; 4.6% for the S6; 20.4% for the S7 / RS 7; 11.1% for the S8; 38.1% for the TTS and TTS Roadster, and 6.3% for the SQ5 crossover.
- September sales mix for Audi TDI models: Audi A3 TDI at 7.3%; Audi A6 TDI at 9.1%; Audi A7 TDI at 10.9%; A8 TDI at 7.6%; Audi Q5 TDI at 14.0%, Audi Q7 TDI at 19.7%, with an overall mix of 12.0% on 1,113 total TDI sales for September.
- Audi holds the longest running monthly record sales streak in the premium car market according to a competitive sales report from MotorIntelligence.com.

Nice headline. The only reason Audi is up at all is due to the New A3 that just debuted. Otherwise they would be down and down big

No - I think "meathelmet" just doesn't like stupid replies like yours. And hows' that UGLY x6 humpback turd coming along. You need to be talking with those BMW designers on that one, instead of bashing some nice work by Audi.

oh ok gk. That ugly turd that you so call it sold over 250,000 vehicles worldwide and prompted not only Audi , yet Mercedes to come out with a version to compete. If it wasnt for the A3 & Q3, audi would be down big time is all I said. It wasnt bashing Audi at all.

CLA outsells A3 despite being months off from boosted inventory.

Mercedes nearly sold twice was many units as Audi for September...the C, E, and S gave the A4, A6, and A8 a luxurious beat down and managed to take the sales crown for The month

Well done

Well, if the A3/Q3 didn't exist, I'm sure a good number of those sales would be allocated to the A4/Q5.

so you are saying that the A3 and Q3 is cannibalizing sales away from its own cars?

What a fantastic month for Audi that easily keeps its record streak of 45 consecutive months of record sales intact.

In its first full month on sale, the Audi Q3 has proven to be hugely popular. The A3 Sedan is selling very well.

Despite its old age and even though it will be replaced by an all-new model early next year, the Audi Q7 is still up 21.7% YTD.

People should not forget that Audi's A4, A5, A6 and A8 models are the oldest in their respective classes and Audi is still achieving phenomenal sales.

Audi's new 2015 TT with its vastly improved driving dynamics, fun driving experience and revolutionary interior that once again shows why Audi has long been credited for creating some of the world's best interiors, is a great example of where Audi will go next in term of driving dynamics and interior design, but NOT exterior design because the TT was intentionally made more conservative on the outside than Audi wanted it to be.

With its model portfolio rapidly expanding with the upcoming Q4, Q6 and flagship Q8 SUV model and upcoming A9 flagship coupe and massive improvements in driving dynamics and luxury - Audi will achieve massive gains in the near future not just in the U.S. but globally as well.

BMW's days of world's best-selling premium brand are rapidly coming to an end.

What a load of BS, a cheerleading session. Audi would actually be in trouble if it weren't for the A3 and Q3. ALL of their other core models are down.

Audi has the oldest lineup of entry-level, mid-size and full-size luxury sedans out of the Big German 3 and still rocks the month.

That shows how strong the Audi brand is. Just wait until the new Q7 and A4 are launched. Game over BMW and Mercedes-Benz!

Actually the A8 is newer than the 7-series. The 5-series came out in 2011 so has been around for 3 1/2 years already. The only car that is truly alot older is the A4/A5. ijs

WHAT PART OF THEY'RE ONLY UP BECAUSE OF THE A3 AND Q3 DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? THEIR OTHER CARS, THOSE OLD CARS ARE DROWNING AND BEING KILLED BY MERCEDES AND BMW!!!

The current A6 was launched very close to the existing 5-series launch and the A8 maybe marginally newer than the 7-series but it's really splitting hairs.

Bottom line is Audi is having an excellent year in the U.S. with huge momentum and its lineup is very old.

"Marginally newer", but you're leaving out the MUCH TOUTED/HYPED refresh that occurred this year for the A8, where even ads were calling it "The All-New A8".

Nuttie " you were just bragging about Audi having the oldest line and that is why they are not selling so well ....

"Audi has the oldest lineup of entry-level, mid-size and full-size luxury sedans out of the Big German 3 and still rocks the month."

In actuality the A6 came out after the 5-series, the A8 redesigned a year ago compared to the 7-series in 2009 .... The only car in the lineup that is true is the A4/A5 ....

Who you crapping?

I find Nuttie's rationalizations and justifications quite humorous and entertaining. One of the only reasons I read any threads on the Germans these days.

Anyway, the A6 is not the oldest. The E class, technically, has been out since 2009, regardless of the mid-cycle refresh last year. The 5 Series has been out since 2010, despite a mild refresh recently. The A6 has been out since 2011.

The C-Class that was still on sale for September has been out since 2007 while the A4 has been out since 2008, with an update in 2012.

And the 7 Series out in 2008 while the A8 was out in 2009.

It sounds incredible until you compare Audi sales vs Mercedes in the USA. Audi is NOT in the race.

Doesn't sound incredible to me; A3 and Q3 represent 23% of Sept '14 Sales...take that away and Audi would be performing like VW. The new A4 will reach the US when? - probably not until early '16. And likely Q7 same timing. The meekly refreshed A/S6, A/S7 are a year away and a remodel perhaps not until '17 at the earliest, not to mention the A8/A9. Prediction: Audi WILL be ending their record month over month record within the next 9 - 10 months.

i have lots of respect for audi, and time and time again i try getting into one..
when they quoted me for a 60k tts 900 per month on a lease they did it again- priced themselves out.
they suck nuts !! every time my lease expires i try getting an audi, and their lease numbers are always outrageous.
i just LOVE when i tell them how does a 77k m3 lease for 850 and and you want me paying 900 for a 60k TTS !!
they have the NERVE to say "bmw's are a dime a dozen- we are more exclusive "
and i say "really ??? more exclusive than Maserati ?? they shut their mouths and know their lease deals are for morons !
a week later i come in with the maserati and they are speechless but know they cant compete !!
paying 865 for an 80k car and im more than satisfied...

Audi obviously can continue to trail in the U.S. but be #1 globally. Look at how close the global sales race is. That tells you how important Europe and China are on a global scale.

Look at how Audi has become the #1 selling brand in Europe and China - no small feat by any means and is enjoying huge momentum in the U.S.

Hey Car4Life: What's that old saying, "If you have to ask how much it cost, you can't afford it". Stop asking how much an Audi, BMW, MB, Cadillac, Jeep, Lexus, Infiniti, Acura cost - You CAN'T AFFORD IT. Stick to your Ford Pinto.
