SPIED: What Are WE Looking At? A Hardcore BMW M4 In The Making OR Just An Aero Kit?

Ever since the incarnation of the BMW M3 — now M4 — there was the creation of a more sporting model. How can you make a sports car even more hardcore? You give it a bit more juice, tighten it up and lighten it up.

The E30 M3 had the EVO. The E36 had the LTW. The E46 had the CSL. The E9x had the GTS.

So, now what?

We're getting the idea that another M car with three letters attached to its name will soon be making its way to customers' hands soon. That's because a new and intriguing M4 has been making the rounds at the world famous Nürburgring test track.

Equipped with a modified front valence and a fixed rear spoiler, it has the online community convinced that an all-new M GTS is on the way. To me, it's got to be either that or an optional aerodynamics kit that will be found in the M Performance catalog of parts.

All that said, what say you, Spies? Is this a new hardcore M car or simply an aero kit?

All BMW's look the same...some are just smaller/larger than others. There is not enough visual distinction to tell them apart. When walking the dealership lot, one has to walk donw the rows behind the vehicles to determine the model number. I intentionally went to see the 4 series Gran Coupe because I really like how it looks. After this realization...that all BMWs look so similar, that totally turned me off to them and I left the dealership.
