It's official guys, Mercedes is seriously going to leapfrog both BMW and Audi sooner than later and return to the best selling luxury brand title it held for over half a century. I'm loving the competition though, it's like for the last 2 yrs we've watched Audi and BMW, racing neck and neck while Benz took a pit stop, and they have officially exited the pits, flooring it past the competition.

The CLA is taking over NYC along with the S -Class, not to mention dealers can't stick enough of the all new C, while the GLA prepares to boost inventory for winter months, I gotta hand it to the Marketing/strategizing team, they have had one hell of a year with launches.

I saw Audi's lead over Benz shrinking month to month and Benz finally passed them by more than 2,000 units

Well done BENZ!

That's what you think. Wait until January when the new Q7 shows off its aggressive and differentiated design.

Yeah, but Audi has a huge model onslaught just around the corner. A new Q7 SUV and A4 Sedan will be out next year. The Q4 and range-topping Q8 are also in the works.

And Mercedes will be giving an all-new, GLK, updated ML/GLE, C-class coupe and convertible, and MLC/GLC. Not to mention the E-Class is up for redesign in a few years. None of the Germans are sitting still, and neither is Lexus, though haven't heard any word on a new LS or any new additions to their model range besides the already-introduced NX. So, Lexus has momentum now, but it might get a bit stagnant in the near term. Things are definitely going to be very interesting in the next couple of years.

Oh, and we'll also see if Infiniti and Acura finally get their heads screwed on correctly.

So, I am curious if there are pricing disparities between the luxury makes in different parts of the world. For example, per a conversation on another site, I researched available models, etc. for various makes. Something I found in parts of the Middle East was that an Audi A3 starts at the equivalent $25k but a Mercedes A250 started at the equivalent $38k. It appears in Germany that there is a few thousand dollars difference in price with Audi being a bit lower than Mercedes. In the US, prices seems to be more commensurate from brand to brand. Anyone have an input on this? I'm NOT trying to discredit Audi's success, but my findings made me curious. I tried to check Audi China and Mercedes China websites, but couldn't make any of it out.
