DRIVEN + VIDEO: If You've Been Waiting For The All-New BMW X6 So YOU Could Trash It, You May NOT Be So Lucky This Go Around
Ever since the launch of the BMW X6 it seems to have solidly cemented itself in automotive history. That's not because it's the best sport-utility vehicle or it is the most beautiful. For whatever reason — I am assuming styling and the perceived lack of practicality — people just LOVE to rag on it.

Don't tell that to the swaths of people that went out and bought an X6 to call their own.

As the all-new product is finally here to see the light of day, we're happy to bring you XCAR's take on the latest X product from BMW.

All that said, are you still going to TRASH the all-new Bavarian or has it finally gained some street cred in YOUR book?

The BMW X6 has a pretty interesting rep in the UK, Alex wanted to find out why. Thankfully the newest X6 was on hand to help with his enquiry.

I have no desire to trash it, but let's face it, it's horrifically ugly. I didn't mind the first gen styling so much, it was never a looker, but had great road presence. IMO this new X6 is the best example of how truly terrible BMW styling has become. And I say that as a former enthusiast of the brand.

I honestly don't think it looks that bad.

Is it worthy of going into the automotive design hall of fame? No, I don't think so.

But it is a vehicle that makes people feel SOMETHING and sells well. Would I buy one? No.

Just saw it for the first time yesterday and it looks much more impressive that the model it replaces. The idea of the vehicle obviously works as Audi & Mercedes are designing competition for it. Plus the fact that BMW sold over 250,000 worldwide for a niche vehicle is pretty impressive.

It is a blast to drive

The front fascia of the M50d looks far better than the standard model of the new generation (MY2015). I will assume that the M Sport petrol (gas) version will look the same as the M50d featured in the video except that it will not include the horizontal gill ornament in the lateral air intakes.

The standard non M Sport looks too busy in the front fascia and suffers from clumpy unresolved lines. I so much prefer the M Sport and M50d in appearance.
