DRIVEN + VIDEO: The EUROPEAN Contingent Weighs In On The All-New, 2015 Ford Mustang — Is It PASS or FAIL For The Blue Oval?
One car that gets a tremendous amount of interest overseas is the Ford Mustang. It's weird too because it's never been officially sold there. That is, until now.

The all-new, 2015 Mustang will be putting Ford's passport to use. Considering how much admiration and love there is for the Mustang abroad — people go through great lengths to import Mustangs and make them road legal — it seems like a pretty good idea for Ford to put its global strategy to the test.

Of course the European contingent are used to a completely different driving experience. Overall, the cars in the Mustang's price range are hatchbacks, sporty and darty.

When I think of a Mustang, none of those things are even remotely in its purview. So, what happens when the keys are dropped in Auto Express' lap and it gives it a proper review?

The new Ford Mustang is coming to the UK in right-hand drive form and with a four-cylinder engine. What's it like?

Styling-wise, the Mustang name doesn't belong on this car.

It's a lot better in person, but the Fusion nose is not a good idea. I'm hoping for a 2017 renosing.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the headlight but then I'm not a Mustang/American muscle car die-hard either so perhaps I take such deviations lightly. As for the headlight angle, is this to allow the Mustang to conform to Europe's crashing regulations (headlight must be angled)?

The Mustang came out in 1964. This is 2014. What would you expect it to look like? I like the modern look and with the new independent suspension it's the first Mustang that I could be interested in. Now if they could build me one with a turbo 4 that's close to or under 3000 lbs.

While that's a great goal to have — close to 3,000 pounds — it will never happy with all the gadgets and safety requirements.
