Porsche Cayman Shooting Brake Rendered - Is There A Place For A Cayvan?

The idea of a Porsche shooting brake isn’t new. Even though they weren’t built by Porsche itself, such cars can be found on the street. Mainly retro projects, they come from coachbuilders or dedicated tuners. But what about a fresh proposal, something like a Cayman shooting brake?

 The rendering above gives you a pretty good idea of how the current Cayman would look like in such a form. The digital creation, which comes from Theophilus Chin, seems to portray a mix between the 981 Cayman and a Volkswagen Scirocco - VW has always claimed the latter is coupe, so the melange is not that strange after all.

Given engine placement and how a shooting brake body would intensify NVH problems this would be a DUMB move. The fact that the render is vomit inducing is yet another reason NOT to do this.

A new 944 coupe and shooting brake would be brilliant moves.
