SPIED + VIDEO: NEW Spy Footage Of The All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake Pops Up Abroad
In spy footage sent to us exclusively via our friend Toldi, we're seeing the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class Shooting Brake undergoing testing abroad. Though it's seen sporting camouflage from the B-Pillar back, it's already pretty obvious what this is going to look like.

If you're looking to see how the D-Pillar will turn out, stop the video at the side profile view and you can see the outline of the fixed rear window and it's very swoopy line. From a design perspective this is a pretty cool looking automobile but I think we have to ask this question out loud: who the hell really is going to find any utility in this auto? CLAs are quite tight and if it's a shooting brake, why wouldn't you get something with MORE space?

Sometimes you just have to ask the obvious.

In the clip the CLA is in a convoy of other Mercedes products and undergoing durability testing. That's why it's towing a rig. Check out that suspension! Looks like it's under some serious duress if you ask us!

I guess you could ask the X6 the same question. LOL

To answer your question, because you won't find another vehicle for that price as sexy, uniquely designed, and special as the shooting brake. Love it or hate it, most of all Benz wagons go down as instant classics and the CLS/CLA Shooting Brakes are just that much more special regardless of limited utility.
