Not ONE, Or TWO, But SIX Pininfarina Sergios Will See The Light Of Day

Not ONE, Or TWO, But SIX Pininfarina Sergios Will See The Light Of Day
Back at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Agent 001 made sure to snap a particularly interesting vehicle that was named after the late founder of a well-regarded design house. Although Pininfarina designs other products aside from automobiles, it's pretty hard to associate the name with anything BUT Ferrari.

In 2013 we were introduced to the Ferrari 458-based Sergio. It was an ode to Pininfarina's founder who passed in 2012.

At first we simply thought it was a tribute; however, soon after the show ended it became clear that this vehicle may see a small batch become production ready. I mean, it must not take THAT much work to make it a reality as it was based on the mid-engined 458. Turns out after more than a year of waiting, the Sergio will be built with only SIX making their way to the roads.

We're thinking this will be one for the automotive history books.

...A small production run had always been under consideration for the Sergio and, following on from the car's positive reception at its 2013 Geneva motor show reveal, it has been decided that a total of six examples will now be made in collaboration with Ferrari.

Final assembly of the Sergio will take place at Pininfarina's plant in Cambiano, Italy. All have already been accounted for, much like the recently revealed Ferrari F60 America...

Six ugly cars that look like they are pointed the wrong way? Morons with money will buy anything.

I like it, Ferrari has been in a styling doldrums for too long. The 458 is the best looking car they have done in years but even it is just evolutionary. They should do more small batch cars and should have supported the Stratos effort as well.

Ferrari sure sucks at designing their cars nowadays.

Ferrari FF = Mazda wannabe.
Ferrari Berlinetta = Not bad. But it still looks like an Infiniti M wannabe.
Ferrari California = The last gen model looked like a cheap, ordinary car, and the newer model looks like an Infiniti wannabe.

And now this? What is this thing?

Seriously, the Italians need to learn from the Japanese Lexus in terms of designing.

I'm sorry. If you don't like the truth, then doesn't seem like you are ready to take the opinions of an enthusiast. Go live in your badgewhore world.
