#SEMAShow: I LOVE GOOOLD! This Gold Wrapped Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Would Have Made Goldmember's Day

It wasn't too long ago that gold was considered tacky. It was in-your-face and a bit over the top. I think it reminded a lot of people of the 1980s, so, for a bit you were seeing much more white gold and platinum out there.

Now though, it's clear it's making a resurgence in a big way. And I am not just talking about jewelry, either.

When it comes to cars we've been seeing more gold wrapped autos. I think credit should be given where it's due and none other than rapper Tyga's rose gold wrapped Lamborghini Aventador may have been the first to start the trend.

Goldmember would be proud.
