South Korea May Block Corvette Sales Due To Noise Pollution?
The world is anxious to get its hands on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Finally a world-class high-performance car, Chevrolet very much wants to see the C7 Stingray in showrooms across the globe, granting there’s local demand. Already turning heads across Europe, the C7 may not end up doing the same in South Korea. Although there are some Koreans anxious to buy one, it’s the government that may ultimately prevent the car from going on sale. The reason? It’s too loud.

The good kind of pollution, but the base Vette isn't too loud. One car that is way to quiet for what you expect is the new Viper. It's strangely quiet.

Just drive it in "Touring" mode and it's plenty quiet. It's Sport and Track where the performance exhaust really lets loose. (And yes it can be quite loud -- too loud for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca when the performance exhaust is open.) Folks can just save that for the countryside or something.

Seriously? Wow, they better banned all motorcycles there first before blocking this sport car sale. I would take a car's vroom vroom sound than a motorcycle one's any day!!
