SPIED: Infiniti's QX30, Set To Take Challenge The GLA, X1, Q3, Discovery Sport, NABBED In The Flesh For The FIRST Time
These are the types of spy shots we love. It's the FIRST time the all-new Infiniti QX30 is being seen.

While a lot of folks are now playing in the very hot entry-level luxury sport-utility vehicle class, there's something people are forgetting. When it comes to compact luxury SUVs, I am pretty sure if my memory serves me right the Infiniti EX30 was the very first to arrive. The Q3 just launched in The States, the X1 was in the past 18 months or so, the GLA just arrived and the Discovery Sport is not close to shipping. Sure the Evoque existed but it was priced in a different market.

Perhaps it was the looks or other points of execution, the EX30 was a total MISS when it came to nabbing buyers. It was an abysmal seller.

Now though with much more aggressive styling and updated technology, perhaps Infiniti can ride the wave of other company's success and get people in the showroom that are looking for a value buy. Argue with me if you want, but people flock to Infiniti because the way the company competitively package and price their cars.

Although the vehicle pictured is camouflaged pretty nicely, it's easy to see that this vehicle will boast the company's latest styling trademarks and it appears to be sized like the Mercedes GLA. If you ask me, I actually think it's the most visually interesting out of the lot. Hopefully when the clothes come off it doesn't have too many sharp edges and becomes overkill.

Its profile looks like a Murano. Why would anyone choose this over a larger (and likely less expensive) Murano?

Why would someone buy a Lexus NX over a Toyota Highlander?

Swagger, prestige, better appointments, the badge.

comments like these prove that the folks on here just repeat, rehash and regurgitate hearsay and long held unsubstantiated opinions as facts. It's been pretty obvious that the top 2 Japanese marques, Infiniti and Lexus have pretty much stopped re-badging for some time now. If I was ever in doubt that Nissan and Infiniti M shared anything major other than the platform, I quickly got over that when I replaced my 2005 Maxima with my first Infiniti M, the 2006 M35. Except for a very similar silhouette from a distance they were night and day. Trim, handling, technology options, horsepower, etc. Even the Infiniti thin rosewood over plastic was better appointed than the maxima fake wood veneer. Believe me I know car companies do the platform sharing to save $$$ but the Murano is no EX nor FX (which is similar in size) for that matter.

A Highlander looks like a Toyota. An NX looks like a Lexus. My guess is that the QX30 and the Murano could probably exchange brand badges and no one would know the difference.
