#LAAUTOSHOW: Audi's All-New Concept To Be Called Prologue? Possibly Rival S-Class Coupe?
New information is starting to trickle out from our friends abroad. According to the latest report in an overseas publication the much anticipated Audi A9 Concept set for a 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show debut will be called Prologue.

Said to be leading the company's all-new design language, it's a big deal. Literally and figuratively. Also noted in the report is that the vehicle will measure 5.1 meters in overall length. For the non-mathematically inclined that would be just about 16 feet.

To compare, the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is about 16 and a half feet long.

Whatever the case, we're pretty damn excited. Scope out the latest sketches below!

Audi Prologue sounds like Audi Prelude.

they can't sell their normally priced cars but they are ready to take on a car that has been unbeatable for a very long time?

This is why many cars fail, because they always chase the 2 German brands that in reality have no competition

Audi would have a chance if they went to RWD platforms for the A4/5/6/7/8 lines. "quattro" isn't special. It's just AWD and BMW and Mercedes have AWD.

The sketch looks nice, if unoriginal. Profile similar to last CTS coupe. Grille from Aston Martin. Rear from nothing because its' so ugly no brand would adopt it.

I completely disagree with the foregoing- this will be utterly stunning from all the near guesses we have seen and now this. I wonder why you Americans bother buying cars at all sometimes, when your own industry is such a mess. All you have to show for originality are the Corvettes and Caddies. And for sure Audi can mix it with those stupidly moronic followers of fashion at Mercedes and the Uuurgly crowd at BMW. Look at the design history of MB since they quit the classic grille design - smaller, smaller, small, bigger, bigger, bigger, now vast and vulgar, nothing classical there to honour the marque - and BMW since Bangle? VAG are the last people designing svelte, sophisticated, classy cars. This will be a winner, and so will Audi. I know you folks suffer from lousy dealerships in America - we hear it all the time on the forums - it lets down these cars badly. Here in Europe Volkswagens and related cars are seen as bastions of good design and excellent build quality, and some of us don't get quickly 'bored' with good class and quality that lasts. We kept our last car 12 years - a Passat B5 - still a classic VW and a classic design that will wear well with time. Not all of us are made of depreciation money, nor desire to only 'lease' a car. This A9 study will be wonderful, I guarantee. Looking forward here to Geneva in Spring. We'll also be getting a new Skoda Superb, name which speaks for itself. Apparently you don't deserve that one even!!! (LOL)
