Sources Reveal Bono's Weekend Bike Crash Was Far More Serious Than Reported

After the band’s initial statement written on U2’s official website on Sunday sounded more like a minor accident, it turns out the lead singer’s motorcycle crash was quite serious. New York’s Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center has revealed  that Bono broke his arm in six places and fractured his eye socket, hand and shoulder blade.

 The famous artist was riding his bike through New York’s Central Park on Sunday, when he attempted to avoid another rider and crashed. Doctors called it a “high energy bicycle accident”, so we’re assuming he was riding quite fast.

U2 has been an incredible gift to music. First saw them in 1983 during the "War" tour. Still one of the best live shows around after all these years. Hope Bono heals well and there is no permanent damage.
